The Streets of Bowdon Photography Project
Hello, and thanks for dropping by. The aim of this personal urban photography project is to create a record of all the 148 named streets and developments in the former township of Bowdon, now part of Altrincham in the borough of Trafford, Greater Manchester (click here to see some area maps of Bowdon or here for a street map).
Ideally, it'd be good to create a portfolio showing every street in every season, but that might not happen... Anyway, I'll try and make the photos a bit more "creative" next time around! Thanks for all your supportive comments so far, and do keep your eyes peeled for a geezer in a high-vis vest with a camera. He's perfectly harmless.
This website continues to be developed, so every time you visit it there may be something new to see. It seems to work best with Google Chrome.

News for 2026
The big project for this year is to transfer the site to the Adobe Portfolio hosting platform. It won't have as many features as this one, but it will be much cheaper for me (as an individual) to maintain. The address won't change, and the transfer will probably be carried out piecemeal over the year (and into 2027....)
In the meantime, tell your friends to stop scrolling through all that boasting on social media and take a look around their local area instead.
