The aim of this personal street photography project is to create a record of all the 148 named streets and developments in the former township of Bowdon, now part of Altrincham in the borough of Trafford, Greater Manchester (click here to see some area maps of Bowdon or here for a street map).
I'm about to start photographing all the streets again over late summer and autumn (2021) with the intention of gradually compiling a portfolio of every street in every season. I hope the photos might be a bit more "creative" second time round. Thanks for all your supportive comments so far and keep your eyes peeled for a geezer in a high-vis vest with a camera. He's perfectly harmless.
This website continues to be developed, so every time you visit it there may be something new to see. It seems to work best with Google Chrome.

Apart from some gated developments, all the streets of Bowdon have now been photographed at least once.
If you live on one of the gated developments, please get in touch!
The latest addition to the site features links to pdf files of all the 60 (and counting) "Bowdon Sheaf" publications as published by the Bowdon History Society. If local history is your thing, this is for you!
I've now started the second round of photography, so keep your eyes peeled for a charming geezer in a yellow high-vis vest.
