...to everyone who has provided information or helped with this project in some way. If I've omitted you, please accept my apologies and get in touch (use the yellow button at bottom right):
Elizabeth, my wife, for her forbearance & love; Florence Talks, of Priory Street, for the walks around "Soapy Town"; Ian Bryce of Heald Drive for revealing the facts about the development of the Heald Road/Drive/Close area, together with a wealth of other information, and for correcting some of my other errors and false assumptions. Ian also laboured assiduously to provide cross-references from my street notes to the relevant articles in The Bowdon Sheaf series, thank you Ian!; David & Sharon Stroud, of Churchfields for alerting me to the church roof obligation; the late Don Bayliss, for all his research into the histories of Bowdon and Altrincham (see References); David Miller, who collaborated with Don Bayliss on many projects, and whose website at https://davidmiller41.wixsite.com/altyweb contains detailed accounts of various aspects of life in Altrincham and Hale, as well as Bowdon. David has also contributed many articles over the years to The Bowdon Sheaf; Sue Nichols of Altrincham Heritage for supplying a pdf of all the Bowdon Sheaf (17) publications; Mike Jones for the information concerning St Mary's Road & Birchdale; Jonathan Brennan for correcting my false assumption about the status of The Priory at the end of Priory Road; Susan Parkes for the historical background to Bailey Walk.

I've been asked recently to do a couple of talks about this project. One was to my local camera club, the second is for U3A Hale and is scheduled for October 21st in Altrincham Town Hall. Come along if you can!
Judging by the click figures, the site is becoming more widely known every month. So, instead of scrolling through all that boasting on social media, why not spend some time scrolling around your local area?
Do let me know of any changes or developments you notice that you feel might interest your fellow Bowdonians.
